3 Classic Call of Duty Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, many subscribers were expecting older Call of Duty games to be added to Game Pass. The addition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass in October was considered the biggest development of 2024. Now, there are signs that some classic CoD games could be coming to the platform as soon as this week.
Classic Call of Duty Games Appear on Microsoft Store
According to a development spotted by @CharlieIntel , three Call of Duty games from the past have appeared on the Microsoft Store for PC today. These games include the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. These games have been available on PC in various ways for years, but they were not available on the Microsoft Store. As such, their addition to the platform suggests that Microsoft is bringing them to Xbox Game Pass to make them available.
Microsoft has yet to announce its Xbox Game Pass plans for the second half of December, so if it plans to bring these Call of Duty games to Game Pass, we could get more information on that in the coming days. Aside from Xbox’s own website, another potential event to keep an eye on for more information could be The Game Awards, which is expected to be on the agenda with big Xbox announcements.
In other news, Xbox Game Pass subscribers today added one of the biggest games of the year to the service, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle . Available now for Xbox Series X/S and PC, Indiana Jones is receiving high marks from critics and is contributing to a strong end to 2024 for Game Pass members.
While Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement, these hints suggest that three classic Call of Duty games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass library in the coming days. This is an exciting development for gamers, and it was an expected step following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. Let’s see what surprises await us in the coming days.
