7 More Classic Retro Games for Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft introduced Retro Classics to Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, initially giving users over 50 titles from the 80s and 90s to explore at no extra cost. The games come with some handy modernization features, too, including community challenges and save and reload functionality. Since then, Retro Classics has shown no signs of slowing, with a new slate of games coming to the platform regularly.

Xbox made no official announcement about the new titles coming to Retro Classics in July 2025, but the app’s “New Games” section now shows seven games that weren’t there before. These include the 1987 Atari title Stake Boardin’ and 1990’s Conquests of Camelot: The Search for the Grail, which was originally released on DOS.

  • Caesar
  • Conquests of Camelot: The Search for the Grail
  • Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
  • Hard Head
  • Okie Dokie
  • Skate Boardin’
  • Skeleton+

Many of these games are relatively obscure, so coming to Retro Classics may give some gamers a chance to experience them for the first time. It also emphasizes Xbox’s previous commitment to game preservation, as all of these seven titles predate even the original Xbox. Xbox Game Pass is now the most convenient way to play them, as emulation, using an old Atari 2600, or running MS-DOS are the only other alternatives.

Gamers who are not as into retro titles still have some incoming updates to look forward to. Microsoft recently unveiled eight more games coming to Xbox Game Pass for the second half of July 2025, including the day-one title Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Only those with an Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription will be able to play all the upcoming titles, but the Retro Classics games are available to all Game Pass tiers.
