A New RPG from BioWare Legends: Exodus
Exodus is a new RPG game developed under the leadership of former BioWare employees. Starring Matthew McConaughey, this game invites players to a breathtaking adventure between time and space to save humanity. McConaughey, who is remembered for his performance in Interstellar, will play a similar hero here. Exodus stands out as a production that draws attention with both its story and innovative gameplay.
Exodus Development Team and Story
Exodus is being developed by the names behind BioWare’s legendary games Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic. Industry veterans such as James Ohlen, Chad Robertson and Drew Karpyshyn are on the game’s creative team. Developed by Archetype Entertainment, a sub-studio of Wizards of the Coast, this game invites players to fight to save humanity against a technology virus called “The Rot”.
Players control a customizable character named June, and decisions made throughout the story affect events in the world. Exodus’ storytelling is inspired by the Mass Effect series, with great emphasis placed on character relationships, choices, and consequences throughout the game.
Exodus is played from an action-packed third-person perspective and features a unique gameplay mechanic called “celestial tech.” With this technology, players can freeze and shatter their enemies, turn their weapons into energy swords, or move around the environment using a grappling hook. In addition, the game features many different enemy types, from giant space bears to giant frogs.
One of the most striking elements of the game is the time dilation mechanic. Seeing the effects of time after each mission is one of the most important features that sets Exodus apart from other science fiction games.
Exodus is planned not only as a game, but also as a series. A book called Exodus: The Archimedes Engine, which deepens the game’s world, has also been published. Exodus is expected to fill a big gap in the industry and bring a new breath to the science fiction RPG genre.
