A Release Date Has Arrived for the 13-Year-Old Horror Game Routine

A long wait for Routine is coming to an end. This sci-fi horror game, which was announced years ago but mysteriously disappeared, is now back in the spotlight. The announced release date for Routine has sparked both curiosity and high anticipation among gamers. After a long development period, players are finally getting ready to discover what happened on this dark moon base.

Route Officially Returns After Years

Routine was first announced in 2012 and initially planned for a 2013 release. However, after a long period of no news from the project, the game became a legendary “lost game.” Routine resurfaced in 2022, announcing a complete remake at the time and claiming it was designed for a new generation. Now, that expectation is coming true, and Routine will be released on December 4, 2025.

Developed by Lunar Software and Raw Fury, Routine blends the science fiction and psychological horror genres. The game takes place on an abandoned moon base and challenges players to survive in confined, suffocating spaces filled with deadly threats. Old-tech-like equipment, analog devices, and narrow corridors add to the game’s atmosphere.

The new teaser for Routine stands out with its unsettling “retro-futuristic” style. Metallic surfaces, dark tunnels, and unnervingly stalking robots keep players on their toes. With a feel reminiscent of franchises like Alien and Dead Space, Routine seems poised for those seeking dark sci-fi thrills.

Routine is also coming to Steam and Xbox platforms and will be available in the Game Pass library from day one. After a long wait, it remains to be seen whether the schedule will materialize. However, for now, the development team remains resolute, and it’s clear that Routine is entering its final stages.

So, are you excited for Routine? Do you think the long development process will enhance the value of this horror game?
