A short trailer accidentally shared early on Focus Entertainment’s Threads account has revealed the new game in the A Plague Tale series. The game, which has not yet been officially announced, is called “A Resonance: Plague Tale Legacy” and will apparently focus on the story before it, in other words, a prequel.
A Plague Tale Series Expands with Resonance
The leaked trailer is only 15 seconds long and despite being quite short, it does hint at a narrative focused on the character Sophia. Although the video was quickly deleted, it quickly spread on Reddit and caught the attention of social media users.
The game is set to be released in 2026, and platforms include PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Although Focus Entertainment has not yet made an official statement, this short video shows that the game is in development and that detailed introductions may be made in the near future.
The fact that the leak in question occurred before the Xbox Games Showcase event suggests that the new game may also appear in tonight’s broadcast. This shows that the new installment of the A Plague Tale series is not far away.
