Although this post alone is not a confirmation, Ubisoft’s re-direction of attention to this game excited many fans.
The remake project in question was first brought up in June 2023. Finally, a developer’s LinkedIn profile claimed that the game would have new ecosystems and an updated combat system. In addition, Ubisoft Singapore is expected to stand out in this project. The fact that the successful naval battle system in the original version of Black Flag belongs to this studio indicates that the remake project may also be handled by this team.
