A lot of fans love Alien: Isolation and they consider the game as one of best survival horror games, due to its heavy emphasis on atmosphere and the dangers of avoiding a super intelligent Xenomorph enemy. The experience is from first person, which allows you to feel the atmosphere a little bit more. A few Alien games have followed in the same direction as Isolation by making them first person VR experiences, with games like Alien: Covenant In Utero and Alien: Descent. The upcoming Alien: Rogue Incursion will be following the same route.
Developer Survios released its first teaser trailer for Alien: Rogue Incursion, the game will be single player action horror game that will launch in Holiday 2024. This virtual reality horror game will be launching on the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3, and PCVR platform via Steam.
Survivos has a lot of experience with VR games. They developed games like Creed: Rise to Glory, Westworld Awakening, and The Walking Dead: Onslaught. In Alien: Rogue Incursion, players will be partaking in a brand new adventure set in the classic sci-fi universe, with Survios teasing that players will be surviving against the “Perfect Organism.”
In a statement released by Survios, it relays how the developers are big fans of the franchise and wanted to build the most immersive Alien experience in VR. The brand new story is said to embrace all the elements of the 45 year old Alien franchise, teasing that the game’s Xenomorphs will make fans’ skin crawl, expressing excitement for fans to try it out. While not much gameplay was shown in the teaser, many fans are hoping this game will be a worthy successor to Alien: Isolation, based on its emphasis on survival horror.
