AMD May Launch RX 9000 at a Competitive Price
AMD is preparing to clarify its pricing strategy for its next-generation graphics card series, the RX 9000. According to leaked information, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT models will be launched at a competitive price against NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti models. The RX 9070 series cards are expected to be sold for between $500 and $600. This is interpreted as an important move by AMD to increase its market share in the mid-range segment.
AMD’s Competitive Price Strategy
According to sources in the sector, AMD aims to gain an advantage over NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series by adopting an aggressive pricing policy for the RX 9000 series. It is stated that the RX 9070 XT in particular will be sold at a price 150 dollars lower while offering similar performance to the RTX 5070 Ti. This could challenge NVIDIA’s strong dominance in the mid-range segment.
It is stated that the pricing of the RX 9070 series may also affect the sales of AMD’s current RX 7800 XT cards. AMD stopped production of the RX 7800 XT in January to focus on the RX 9070 series. In this way, it is aimed to attract more attention to the new models.
It is stated that the RX 9000 series cards are developed with the RDNA 4 architecture and offer significant performance improvements compared to the previous generations. A significant improvement is expected especially in ray tracing performance compared to the previous generation. The RX 9070 XT will use the Navi 48 graphics processor and may be released with a price tag of $ 600. The RX 9070 will be a direct competitor to the RTX 5070 with a price of $ 500.
This new series from AMD will be officially introduced in March 2025. This move is expected to attract great attention especially among price-performance-oriented users. AMD can reshape the competition in the mid-range segment with this strategy. Official details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
