MSI Claw A8 BZ2EM Draws Attention with Technical Features
MSI’s Claw A8 model, which was showcased at the Computex 2025 event held in Taiwan, has caused a great stir in the world of gaming hardware. Powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, the device comes with an integrated Radeon 890M graphics unit and support for up to 24 GB of RAM. The 8-inch screen with 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate stands out with VRR support and 500 nits of brightness.
One of the most striking aspects of this model is its battery capacity. The MSI Claw A8 leaves its competitors behind with its 80Wh battery. In comparison, this value is almost double the 40Wh battery of the Steam Deck and the 50Wh battery of the OLED model. This difference offers a serious advantage for users looking for a long-term portable gaming experience.
MSI had launched the Intel-based Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ models at the end of 2024. However, this time, the switch to the AMD platform shows that the company has opened a new page in its handheld console strategy. Although the price or release date of the new model has not been shared yet, it is clearly understood that it targets the premium segment with its features.
In addition to MSI, Nvidia also attracted attention by introducing the NVLink Fusion program at Computex 2025. At the same time, Microsoft’s plans to enter the handheld console market are also shaking things up in the sector. It is a matter of curiosity how the MSI Claw A8 will position itself in light of these developments.
