AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, 7700 XT will launch on August 25 at Gamescom
AMD recently confirmed that they will launch their AMD Radeon products at Gamescom on August 25 in Germany.
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, 7700 XT are coming
Most speculations suggested that the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT graphics cards would be launched at the show after Powercolor accidentally made live a listing for the upcoming Radeon RX 7800 XT. These cards are said to feature the Navi 32 die and finally fill in the gap between the Navi 33-based RX 7600 and Navi 31-based Radeon RX 7900 series of graphics cards.
For quite some time, rumors surrounding Team Red have been suggesting an imminent launch for the mid tier Radeon RX 7000 series cards. Back in November of last year when AMD first announced the new cards, the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX were supposed to be the top of the line offerings that were supported by the entry level RX 7600.

Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting more SKUs in the AMD Radeon 7000 series to compete in the market currently dominated by Nvidia’s RTX 4060 and 4070 cards. Scott Herkelman, the Senior VP & GM at the General Manager Graphics Business Unit at AMD recently stated that the company will be making major product announcements at the Gamescom.
The event is scheduled for August 25, and 5 pm (local time) is when AMD will make the announcements. While it did not disclose exactly what Radeon products will be launched at the event, it is believed that the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT graphics cards will break cover at the event.
This speculation becomes stronger considering the past leaks, including the accidental listing by Powercolor where it showcased the Radeon RX 7800 XT on its website earlier this month. The listing, which was taken down shortly after, showed the design and key specifications.

The graphics card will come with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus with 18 Gbps modules. These are the same specs as the recently released RX 7900 GRE model, currently being sold globally via system integrators.
This specific Powercolor Radeon RX 7800 XT uses a triple fan cooler and features 3840 stream processor units, a base clock speed of 2210MHz, and a boost clock speed of 2520MHz. The listing also confirmed that the graphics card is using the Navi 32 die and not the Navi 31 XL found in the RX 7900 GRE, even though the card uses a similar design. Interestingly, AMD is also said to be working on a mobile version of the RX 7900 GRE with its modified Navi 31 XL die.
