AMD Working on RX 9070 XT with 32GB Memory
AMD is rumored to be working on a new graphics card for gamers, the Radeon RX 9070 XT. According to sources, this model will be equipped with 32GB of GDDR6 memory, which will be twice the 16GB memory offered by the current RX 9070 series. Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is claimed that the device could be released in the first half of 2025.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Highlights
A leaker, Chiphell, stated that the RX 9070 XT could use the Navi 48 GPU and would be designed with double-sided memory modules inspired by professional cards. This structure could provide the necessary space to physically accommodate 32GB of memory. However, it is stated that this new model, despite the higher capacity, will offer a lower memory bandwidth compared to the NVIDIA RTX 50 series. While the RX 9070 XT is said to use GDDR6 memory at 20 Gbps, the RTX 50 series stands out with 28-30 Gbps GDDR7 memory.
It is stated that such a high memory capacity can be useful not only for gaming, but also for applications such as artificial intelligence workloads and large language models (LLM). However, it is emphasized that AMD designed this card specifically as a model for gamers, not a professional product.
According to leaks, the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 32GB model is expected to be introduced at the end of the second quarter of 2025. The card is expected to appeal to a wider user base, unlike the current models of the RX 9070 series.
It is eagerly awaited how AMD will make a move in the graphics card market with this new model. Especially in its competition with NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series, the performance and pricing of the RX 9070 XT may play a critical role. All eyes are on AMD for official announcements.
