It’s been revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is crossing over with horror title Dead by Daylight on May 27.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been a big success for Ubisoft, as it quickly found an audience and has become the second best-selling title of 2025 so far. The popular action-adventure title is selling well alongside other big hits like Monster Hunter Wilds and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. A lot of fans have praised the title for having stunning visuals, especially on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

In a recent post on Twitter, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be collaborating with Dead by Daylight on May 27. The post asks players to “Step into The Fog” and declares that a new Dead by Daylight quest will begin soon. As of writing, there are very few details about the collaboration outside the post and short teaser video. The popular horror title is no stranger to major collaborations, as it was recently announced that Dead by Daylight will be crossing over with Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Witcher.

Fans of both franchises expressed a lot of excitement, as it was recently teased that Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be receiving a special collaboration in late May when the developers talked about the game’s roadmap for the future. At the time, very little was known, though the developers promised that fans would learn more soon.

In addition to a collaboration with Dead by Daylight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be receiving improvements to both its photo mode and parkour mechanics as part of its roadmap. A large portion of the community is also looking forward to the Claws of Awaji expansion, which is scheduled for release later in 2025.
