Post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has included things like improved parkour mechanics, Photo Mode features, new quests, and special crossover content with other games like Balatro and Dead by Daylight. In fact, Assassin’s Creed Shadows also teamed up with Critical Role, bringing a new character portrayed by Robbie Daymond into the game, alongside a new quest which helps make his character a recruitable ally. However, Ubisoft still has plenty of content on the horizon, which it has finally revealed in a new roadmap update.
In a new post on social media, Assassin’s Creed laid out a release roadmap for its upcoming content and features. It isn’t the first time Assassin’s Creed Shadows has shared a DLC roadmap with fans, though this newest version provided new details with specific launch dates, including a New Game+ option and level cap increase being added in a few days on July 29. At the start of September, a new quality of life update will be released, teasing free content, being able to fast-forward the time of day, and more.
However, the biggest reveal for fans was that the upcoming Claws of Awaji expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now set for a September 16 release date. Ubisoft again noted that the new story chapter will add over 10 hours of gameplay, bringing players to a completely new area to explore against a new faction called the Sanzoku Ippa. New weapons will also be added, including the Bo Staff for Naoe, which Ubisoft has said gives her the ability to deal different types of damage, including some non-lethal options.
