Assassin’s Creed Shadows Coming to Consoles with 4K 60FPS
Ubisoft’s highly anticipated game Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be playable on next-generation consoles at 4K resolution and 60 FPS performance mode. This feature, offered for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, will take the visual and gameplay quality of the game to the next level. In addition, it stands out from previous games in the series with innovations such as the new weather system Atmos.
Technical Details of Assassin’s Creed Shadows
In a statement made by Ubisoft, important information was shared about the graphical performance and technical details of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game’s technology director Pierre F. said in response to a community question, “Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X will be able to play at 2160p upscaled resolution and 60 FPS in performance mode.” It was stated that more details about console modes will be announced before the game’s release.
The new weather system Atmos adds a more dynamic atmosphere to the game world. Stating that clouds were drawn and combined by hand in previous games, Ubisoft announced that natural cloud formations are now created with a physics-based simulation thanks to Atmos. This system allows weather conditions to offer smoother transitions. For example, the slow dispersion of clouds after a storm creates a more realistic experience.
The game’s sound technology will also please players. Offering DTS:X and Dolby Atmos support, Assassin’s Creed Shadows promises a more impressive sound experience. In addition, special graphics settings, FOV (angle of view) options and performance measurement tools will be included in the game for PC players. However, the game will not have Steam Deck support at launch.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 20, 2025. The game is expected to offer an unforgettable experience for fans of the series with its innovative technologies and performance.
