ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Price and Pre-Order Date Announced
ASUS’s ROG Xbox Ally, the Xbox-branded portable gaming console series, will be available for pre-order immediately following Gamescom 2025. These devices, which will usher in a new era in the console world, come in two models with varying performance levels: the Xbox Ally and the Xbox Ally X. Pricing and pre-order dates for this new series, which aims to elevate the mobile gaming experience, have finally been announced.
Xbox Ally and Ally X Pre-Order Date and European Prices
According to leaks, pre-orders for the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X models will begin in Europe on August 20, 2025. This date falls immediately after Gamescom Opening Night Live and on the official Xbox release date. With this strategic timing, ASUS aims to maximize interest.
Pricing has been confirmed. The high-performance Xbox Ally X will retail for €899 in Europe, while the base Xbox Ally, with its more modest specifications, will cost €599. US pricing and a full release date have not yet been announced, but rumors suggest an October release.
The Xbox Ally X model stands out with its larger battery capacity and increased storage, while the base Xbox Ally model aims to offer gamers satisfying performance at a more affordable price. Both devices run Windows and offer access to a vast library of games thanks to Xbox Game Pass compatibility.
This new ASUS Xbox partnership appears poised to intensify competition in the portable gaming market. Following models like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, the Xbox Ally series aims to offer gamers an alternative experience, both by integrating into Microsoft’s digital ecosystem and by leveraging its hardware power. User response, along with the pre-order process, will directly determine the market success of these devices.
Considering pricing, the Xbox Ally series is particularly competitive in Europe. Türkiye’s pricing is not yet clear, but new details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
