Atari Gamestation Go Release Date and Price Announced

Atari is preparing to finally release its long-awaited new handheld console, the Gamestation Go. Developed in collaboration with retro hardware specialist My Arcade, the device will feature hundreds of classic games. With the release date and price announced, an exciting countdown has begun for nostalgia enthusiasts.

Gamestation Go Coming in October

According to Atari’s announcement, the Gamestation Go will be released on October 24, 2025. The console is priced at $179.99. Pre-orders are already open, and the device is available for purchase at GameStop or through Atari’s official website. This means the console will arrive in gamers’ hands in just a few weeks.

The Gamestation Go comes with over 200 classic games. Among Atari’s legendary titles are Pac-Man, Asteroids: Recharged, Missile Command, and Centipede: Recharged. Games from companies like Jaleco and PIKO International will also be included in the library. The device’s dedicated paddle controller will also support games like Breakout.

The device’s hardware aims to deliver a retro experience within a modern framework. The seven-inch high-resolution color screen makes old games look even more vibrant today. The HDMI output also allows for mirroring games to a television screen. In addition to the traditional paddles and keypads, modern control schemes will be available, providing options for both those who love the old school and those looking for gameplay that suits their current preferences.

While the full game list hasn’t been announced yet, it’s rumored that some Intellivision-era titles will also be included. This raises the spectacle that it will offer access to the deep libraries not only of Atari but also of other platforms. The full collection of over 200 games will be gradually announced leading up to launch.

The Gamestation Go stands out as a compelling option for those looking to experience retro games on a modern portable device. With new game slate to be announced before its October launch, the console’s appeal is likely to grow even more for nostalgia enthusiasts.
