Bad News for Fast & Furious 11
Things aren’t looking good for the highly anticipated new installment of the Fast & Furious series. Vin Diesel’s statement at Fuel Fest had already postponed the release date. However, Jason Momoa’s latest comments paint an even bleaker picture for the franchise’s future.
Fast & Furious 11 Developments Disappoint Fans
Jason Momoa brought a new dimension to the series with his portrayal of Dante in the 2023 Fast X film. While fans were anticipating Momoa’s return, his latest interview has derailed expectations. Speaking to The Playlist, Momoa stated that he doesn’t have a script yet, saying, “I’d love to come back, but there’s no script. So, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon.”
This announcement once again highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the film’s production process. The release date, previously announced as 2025, was first pushed back to 2026 and then to 2027. While Vin Diesel has consistently expressed his faith in the project, internal studio issues are known to be complicating the process.
Fast & Furious 11 was touted as a major production celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary. However, considering the current situation, the completion date for production remains uncertain. Fans of the series, accustomed to years of delays, are now more cautious.
Meanwhile, Jason Momoa frequently expresses his love for the series. His performance in Fast X received praise from critics, leading to high anticipation for the character’s return. However, filming is unlikely to begin until the script is complete.
All these developments indicate that Fast & Furious 11 will be one of the most problematic productions in the series. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if the planned 2027 release date will actually happen this time.
