Baldur’s Gate 3 Fan Mods Officially Approved
Larian Studios has officially confirmed a new wave of fan mods for the Baldur’s Gate 3 community, exclusive to the console version. These mods expand the game’s magical atmosphere and bring the spirit of the upcoming Halloween to Sword Coast. From new classes to dark weapons, a wealth of content adds a whole new dimension to the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods Bring Dark Gods and New Powers
One notable among the newly confirmed mods is the Eldritch Domain cleric subclass. This class, like those in Lovecraftian stories, draws power from the gods of the dead. Players can use the “whispers of the dead” to inflict terrifying hallucinations on their enemies. A special ability called “Prophecy of Doom” can inflict nightmares on surrounding creatures and alter the course of battle. The Eldritch Domain description emphasizes the mysterious nature of this power, stating that “even the most benevolent gods are beyond the comprehension of mortals.”
Another notable mod is the Red Witch class. This fan-made sorceress class is armed with dark magic that shatters the very fabric of reality. The Red Witch grants players the power to create “dark vortices” that open interdimensional rifts and draw in their enemies. Combining classic priest, wizard, and druid spells, this class offers unique gameplay with the new “Dark Favors” system. It’s perfect for those seeking to delve into the dark side of divine power.
Another mod that embraces the horror theme is Granny Weapons Immersive. Don’t expect “family heirloom kitchenware” from its name; this mod is packed with deadly and cursed weapons. Swords imbued with forbidden wisdom, like the “Whispering Sanguine Blade,” grant their wielders necromantic powers. The “Resilient Flail of Dread Skulls” and the “Undead Slumber” ring empower spells by absorbing the souls of the dead. In short, these mods add a chilling atmosphere to every battle.
With this update, Larian is giving console players more freedom. Alongside new classes, the Shadowheart Dice Skin, Way of the Mistweaver Monk, Winter Walker Ranger, and other cosmetic content are officially supported. The studio stated that they want to celebrate player creativity. Now, Baldur’s Gate 3 is truly being shaped by the community on both PC and console.
