Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Support Will Be Available
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Support will arrive later this year, Larian Studios announced with the latest update.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Support Will Change Everything
Baldur’s Gate 3 community keeps creating stunning mods for the game. From clothing to subclasses, fans are devoted to create these mods to make other fans’ Baldur’s Gate 3 experience better. If you are playing a game which has a massive open world, mods can change everything. Especially if you like using them. That’s why Larian Studios made a great decision.
While sharing the announcement for Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 19, director of publishing Michael Douse spoke directly to players and modders. The tweet expressed Larian Studios’ love for the Baldur’s Gate 3 modding community and announced that Larian is working to bring “robust” mod support to the game for PC and consoles.
Though it’s unknown when exactly this support will be added, fans can expect it to go into effect sometime later this year. In a follow-up to the original tweet, he then posted that Larian has a system they plan to use to implement the cross-platform support, however it still needs to be tested and isn’t yet finished.
This announcement is very exciting for all fans, mod creators. Mod creators have to keep updated their mod in order to make it work with all patches. Larian Studios keeps releasing hotfixes, that’s why mods can become incompatible with the current version.
Larian Studios’ responsiveness to its modding community’s concerns is a good example of why Baldur’s Gate 3 snagged Best Community Support at The Game Awards 2023. Though the company has touched on the possibility of an eventual Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC, for the time being players will have to make do with whatever new content Larian plans to release in the game’s upcoming patches.
