Battlefield 6 Beta Haunted by Cheaters
The Battlefield 6 beta, which began just 24 hours ago, has attracted the attention of millions of players. However, cheaters who quickly infiltrated the game bypassed Electronic Arts’ next-generation Javelin anti-cheat system, sparking outrage from the community. Videos shared on social media reveal that this system provides little to no deterrent for some players. Players find the emergence of cheating issues at such an early stage of the beta alarming, and it remains to be seen how the development team will respond.
Battlefield 6 Javelin Anti-Cheat System Questioned
Cheat footage surfaced in the Battlefield 6 beta is seriously damaging the gaming experience, especially for legitimate players. Some players believe the emergence of cheaters during this period represents an opportunity to strengthen the Javelin system ahead of the full release on October 10th. Electronic Arts emphasizes that combating cheaters is “a never-ending and constantly evolving battle.”
While the game team maintains that early detection of cheaters is crucial for identifying system flaws, a large portion of the player community believes this situation erodes trust in the game. The prevalence of cheats, especially on the first day of the beta, has led to questions about the game’s security infrastructure.
Cheating isn’t the only problem facing the beta. Footage of some streamers using map exploits to hide in terrain and shoot their opponents has also been circulating on social media. These types of bugs highlight the game’s overall good technical performance, but its lack of balance and security.
Players encountered various technical issues even before the beta began. The SecureBoot feature prevented some users from running the game due to third-party software (accessory control programs, RGB lighting software, etc.) installed on their computers. These technical hurdles, combined with the cheating issue, made the Battlefield 6 beta controversial from its early days. Players are now eager to see how the development team will address these issues before the full release.
