Battlefield 6 Console Performance Revealed
With its release just weeks away, Battlefield 6 console performance details have been officially released. According to statements from the game’s technical director, Christian Buhl, 60fps will be the standard on all platforms. While PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X will have both quality and performance modes, the Xbox Series S will have only one option.
How Will Battlefield 6 Run on Consoles?
The resolution and frame rate at which Battlefield 6 will run on consoles have been clarified. According to the development team, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X users will be able to choose between both quality and performance modes. The Xbox Series S will only have a single mode.
PlayStation 5
- Fidelity Mode: 1440p / 60fps
- Performance Mode: 1280p / 70-110fps
PlayStation 5 Pro
- Fidelity Mode: 2160p / 60fps
- Performance Mode: 1620p / 60-120fps
Xbox Series X
- Fidelity Mode: 1440p / 60fps
- Performance Mode: 1280p / 70-110fps
Xbox Series S
- One mod: 1080p / 60fps
These announced values are particularly important for competitive gamers. Those using VRR-supported TVs and monitors will be able to maximize the performance mode. Furthermore, maintaining a constant 60fps on all consoles is considered a significant advantage for the game’s online multiplayer.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will debut with new single-player gameplay footage at the Tokyo Game Show at the end of the month. It’s also stated that the same performance level is targeted for the game’s Battle Royale mode.
