This mode, which bears a COD Zombies flavor, quickly gained traction but was subsequently issued a violation notice by Activision. After the initial warning, the creator changed all names, eliminated all symbols, and completely rebuilt the system using Battlefield 6 tools. Despite this, he said he was still subjected to a second takedown notice.
Players’ outrage was strong because this time, the Battlefield 6 mode contained no Call of Duty assets, names, or visuals. According to the posts, the game logic was solely wave-based. Therefore, Activision’s justification for blocking Battlefield 6 content remains unclear. This has led to comments in the community asking, “Is even the idea of a game banned?”
While the Battlefield 6 Portal mode was designed to foster creativity, the community believes this approach is killing the fun.
