Battlefield 6 Portal Mode Brings COD Maps to the Game
First spotted by Insider Gaming, this creative project is being created by community member Matavatar. Matavatar garnered significant attention by adapting Modern Warfare’s iconic Shipment map to Battlefield 6. The modder, who soon added Killhouse to the game, announced that their next targets include Nuketown, Metro, Bazaar, Noshar Canals, and even Firing Range.
Player feedback has been so strong that the community has already launched “Shipment 24/7” servers. These dedicated servers offer uninterrupted COD-style close-quarters combat. With maps like Nuketown and Firing Range completed, the number of these servers is expected to increase rapidly. Combined with Battlefield’s realistic physics engine and destruction mechanics, these maps elevate the classic COD experience to a whole new level.
Matavatar also shared a detailed guide for players who want to create their own maps in Portal mode. This guide also reveals how Battlefield 6 could become a community-driven game in the long run. “If we made Shipment in a day, imagine what could be done in a month,” Matavatar says, emphasizing that this project is just the beginning.
Battlefield 6 has made a huge impact by offering players both the classic combat atmosphere and the endless possibilities shaped by the community. Thanks to Portal mode, the game is no longer just a battlefield; it’s also a stage for reliving some of Call of Duty’s most iconic moments. It appears the rivalry between the two FPS giants will now take place in the same arena.
