Black Myth: New Trailer and Release Dates for Wukong
The team stated that the game will release as planned and that they are actively working on the final stages of experiencing, testing and distributing the game. Additionally, Game Science revealed that a new trailer will arrive on August 8, 2024. The anticipated trailer will be released at 10 a.m. Beijing time or 10 p.m. Eastern time.
Black Myth: Wukong pre-orders are currently available on PlayStation 5, Steam and the Epic Games Store. However, despite the game going gold, the Xbox version still has no concrete release date. Game Science first announced the Xbox delay in June 2024. According to the pre-order FAQ page, the developers are still “optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards.”
Xbox Version Delay
“We apologize for the delay and aim to minimize the wait for Xbox users,” Game Science said. The developers were careful to note that they would “announce a release date as soon as it meets our quality standards.” Microsoft, on the other hand, only said that Black Myth: Wukong’s delay on Xbox, and Microsoft only issued a vague statement hinting at a possible reason for the delay.
Black Myth: Wukong will release on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 20, 2024.
