Black Myth: Zhong Kui Announced at Gamescom
Game Science surprised fans with the Black Myth: Zhong Kui game during Gamescom Opening Night Live. The studio’s follow-up to the massively successful Black Myth: Wukong was announced as the finale of the event. While still in early development, the details revealed and the first trailer were enough to raise player expectations.
Black Myth: Zhong Kui Still in Early Development
The trailer shown at the event featured two hidden brothers, along with Zhong Kui appearing atop a massive tiger. While the trailer didn’t reveal much about the game’s story and gameplay, it made a significant impact on viewers, considering the success of Black Myth: Wukong.
Following the trailer, the official website explained why the project was announced now. The development team stated that they have made it a tradition to provide players with a progress report on August 20th each year. However, according to the statement, the project is still in its very early stages, and as the developers put it, “it’s practically an empty folder for now.”
Game Science hasn’t released any information regarding the game’s release date. In fact, the statement noted that the team hasn’t even finalized the story and gameplay outline yet. This suggests that Black Myth: Zhong Kui will have a lengthy development process ahead of players.
The studio has confirmed that the game will be released on PC and all major console platforms. It was stated that definitive release date information will be released later in the development process. Black Myth: Zhong Kui, which has already generated widespread buzz in the gaming world following the first trailer, stands out as one of Game Science’s most ambitious projects of the upcoming season.
