Black Ops 7 Season 1 Roadmap Shared
Black Ops 7, the newest installment in the Call of Duty series, is preparing for release on November 14th. Activision has officially shared the game’s launch and season 1 content plan. The released roadmap preserves the series’ classic multiplayer dynamics while also appearing to delight fans of the zombie mode.
Black Ops 7’s First Season Will Include 18 Maps and 3 New Zombie Levels
Activision has shared the full roadmap for Black Ops 7 via its official X account. Players will be offered 18 multiplayer maps and 2 zombie maps upon launch. These maps aim to expand the gaming experience in a balanced way, combining the classic Black Ops pace with modern graphics.
A week after launch, the series’ legendary map, Nuketown, returns as “Nuketown 2025.” Six new maps, including Meltdown and the previously introduced Yakei, will be added. Activision confirmed that new maps will be announced in the coming weeks. These updates will be rolled out regularly throughout the season.
There’s also good news for fans of the zombie mode. Three new zombie maps will be added to the game in the first season. Two of these will be classic Survival-style, offering players intense, wave-based combat. The third map will be scenario-driven and will further the series’ storyline.
Black Ops 7, like Black Ops 6, will also be available through Xbox Game Pass. While this strategy aims to expand the player base, it has also raised some concerns about its potential impact on sales revenue. However, Activision states that the game will remain active post-launch with long-term support plans.
Despite the low participation rate in the open beta, Black Ops 7 remains one of the most anticipated FPS games of the year. The development team announced that support will continue after the first season with new events, weapon updates, and in-game thematic content.
