Bloodborne PC Emulation Passes Critical Threshold
Bloodborne has been long awaited by PC gamers as one of PlayStation 4’s most beloved games. However, Sony’s silence on the remaster continues to frustrate gamers. In response to this, the developers of the ShadPS4 emulator have announced that they are working on a Bloodborne PC emulation and have successfully launched the game. However, the game is not yet playable; further improvements are needed for a stable experience.
Bloodborne PC Emulation in Development
The ShadPS4 emulator project has reached an important milestone in its efforts to emulate Bloodborne on PC. The game can now be launched and dived into on PC, which is considered a major milestone in emulation projects. Players can even progress to Castle Cainhurst, an optional dungeon, and fight the boss there. However, the frame rate is not yet satisfactory; the game currently runs at single-digit FPS and has visual glitches.
The unlimited FPS mode available for Bloodborne can only be run on jailbroken PlayStation 4 consoles. However, a Reddit user has managed to get it working on PC via the ShadPS4 emulator. There are still many technical challenges to overcome before the emulation is fully playable. At this rate, Bloodborne should be fully playable on PC within the next few months.
