Bloodborne Remaster Rumors Debunked
The remaster news that Bloodborne fans have been waiting for for years has come to the fore once again in recent days. However, a reliable industry insider denied this excitement. Developed in 2015 by FromSoftware and released for PlayStation 4, Bloodborne became a favorite of gamers with its gothic atmosphere and deep gameplay. However, its limited performance at 1080p and 30 FPS on modern hardware has kept the demand for a remaster on the agenda for a long time.
Bloodborne Remaster Hopes for Another Spring
Many fans were excited when Bloodborne’s server maintenance update was announced for December 3, 2024. This date coincided with a PlayStation event scheduled for the same month, reviving rumors of a remaster or remake. Fans began to speculate that this update could set the stage for a long-awaited announcement.
However, this hope was short-lived. Well-known game journalist Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb flatly denied the rumors in a post on Twitter (X). “I promise you, it’s nothing,” he said, dampening fans’ excitement. Grubb’s statement quickly spread across social media, causing many gamers to feel disappointed again.
While the Bloodborne remaster rumors continue, acquisition talks are reportedly underway between FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa Corporation and Sony. According to Bloomberg, the two companies have been in talks before. However, the parties are reportedly struggling to reach an agreement.
It remains unclear whether Bloodborne will be re-released as a remaster or remake. However, fan interest in the game has not waned over the years.
