Blue Protocol Finally Goes Global

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Enters a New Era

Blue Protocol, which was released in Japan last year and was closed shortly after, disappointed many fans when it was announced that it would not be released in the Western market. However, this situation did not last long; China-based developer Bokura took over the project, brought in some of the original development team, and revived the game under the name Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. This new version will now be playable in regions outside of Japan.

One of the most striking features of the new version is its cross-platform game support. Players will be able to play with the same character on both PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) and mobile devices (iOS and Android). Thanks to this cross-platform support, players will be able to continue the game without interruption from any device they want. This seems to create a significant advantage, especially in markets where mobile gaming habits are widespread.

The original Blue Protocol version, which was initially planned to be brought to the West by Amazon Games, received mixed reactions from Japanese players. As a result of these reactions and technical difficulties, Bandai Namco decided to cancel the project, and it was claimed that this situation caused significant personnel losses in the company. However, Bokura’s restructuring and revival of the project brought interest in the game back to the agenda.

Dynamic combat mechanics, anime-style open-world exploration, detailed character customization options and social systems will be at the forefront of the new version. While the social aspect of the game is strengthened with trade, guilds and community events, it is aimed to offer players a wider area of interaction. Blue Protocol: Star Resonance will be available worldwide this year.
