Bluepoint Sparks Bloodborne Rumors with Job Posting

Rumors of a Bloodborne Remake, long anticipated by the PlayStation community, have resurfaced. Bluepoint Games announced on its official career page that it is looking for a Senior Combat Designer “well-versed in third-person melee mechanics.” This announcement has fueled speculation that the studio’s next project could be Bloodborne.

Could Bloodborne Be Bluepoint’s New Project?

Bluepoint Games has produced some of the most impressive remakes in PlayStation history. Demon’s Souls Remake, in particular, garnered significant praise during the PS5 launch. Now, the company’s job posting includes the criterion “proficiency in third-person action-based melee combat.” This phrase, bearing a resemblance to Souls-style games, immediately brings Bloodborne to mind.

Fans’ expectations are clear: If a remake is to be made, Bluepoint should be the best one. However, this time, the situation is a bit more complicated. According to reports in January, two of Sony’s live service projects were canceled, one from Bluepoint and the other from Bend Studio. One of these projects is suggested to be an online game set in the God of War universe.

Bluepoint Sparks Bloodborne Rumors with Job Posting

Bluepoint supported the development of God of War Ragnarok, indicating the studio’s experience in that universe. Therefore, the new job posting could be for another God of War-based project instead of the canceled project. However, this theory hasn’t dampened fans’ hopes that a Bloodborne Remake is coming.

Since Bloodborne’s release in 2015, the PlayStation community has been waiting for a PS5 version or a PC version of the game. The silence from Sony has caused every new Bluepoint announcement to erupt into a storm of speculation.

While no official announcement has been made yet, this job posting has given fans renewed hope. The wait continues to find out if Bluepoint’s next project is Bloodborne. But one thing is certain: If it is indeed a Bloodborne Remake, it’s going to rock the PlayStation world.
