Borderlands 4 Returns with New Characters and Story
According to the game’s promotional text, players will this time step into a new planet called Kairos and pursue wealth and fame by choosing one of four new Vault Hunters. While each character has their own Action Skill abilities, the gameplay style can be completely personalized with deepened talent trees. In the structure where mobility is at the forefront, more fluid and impressive conflicts against enemies will be possible.
In the story, we encounter a new enemy: Timekeeper. This ruthless dictator who oppresses the masses has put the planet in absolute order. However, a great disaster shakes this order and the entire planet is thrown into chaos. Players will try to both survive and lead the resistance in this chaos.
Borderlands 4 will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms on September 12, 2025. The colorful graphic style, humorous narrative and action-packed scenes shown in the gameplay trailer seem to meet the expectations of series fans. The message Gearbox gave with the trailer is clear: The new Borderlands experience will be faster, more personal and more chaotic than ever. The wait has officially begun for gamers.
