Borderlands 4 Got it’s Own State of Play
Playstation revealed that Borderlands 4 will get it’s own State of Play, which will be broadcast on April 30, set to reveal more information about new weapons, abilities, missions, and more.

Following an initial announcement in August 2024, the first gameplay reveal for Borderlands 4 was shown at The Game Awards 2024, earning positive reactions from both veteran and first time fans. After the release date was moved up to September 12 from the original launch of September 23, fans have been excitedly awaiting a deeper dive into the game. Luckily for those enthusiastic audiences, the Borderlands 4 State of Play is just around the corner.
PlayStation has confirmed that the Borderlands 4 State of Play will air on April 30 and will give players a closer look at the new additions and familiar mechanics coming with the game on September 12. According to the official blog post of the announcement, Gearbox Software Creative Director Graeme Timmins will be joined by Senior Project Producer Anthony Nicholson and other members of the development team, as they showcase “developer-guided gameplay, including missions, killer weapons, exciting Action Skills, new and returning characters, and more.” The promise of returning characters from the Borderlands franchise has sparked early speculation among fans, with many keeping their fingers crossed for big reveals during the State of Play livestream.
The Borderlands 4 PlayStation State of Play broadcast will air at 2pm PT on Wednesday, April 30, and is expected to have an approximate runtime of 20 minutes.
