Borderlands 4 Release Date Announced

The wait for the fourth installment of the popular action series is over. 2K Games announced that Borderlands 4 will be released worldwide on September 12, 2025. Although initial statements predicted a later date, the game will take its place on shelves earlier than expected. The series is preparing to renew itself once again with new-generation Vault Hunters and deeper customization options.

Borderlands 4 Comes with Brand New Hunters

Borderlands 4 returns with four new Vault Hunter characters, refreshing the series’ familiar structure. Each of these characters will have their own Action Skill abilities, and players will be able to personalize these abilities in various ways. Players will experience a more intense sense of interaction with each step as they step onto a new planet called Kairos or explore a completely different world.

2K Games aims to offer more depth not only with new characters but also on the gameplay side. Customizable skills, weapon combinations and innovations in the mission system are among the elements that will distinguish Borderlands 4 from previous games in the series. Players will be able to interact with the world more freely, and combat mechanics will feel sharper and faster.

The producer company also announced that it will take a step towards a wider promotion of the game and will hold a special presentation for Borderlands 4 at PlayStation’s State of Play event on April 30. This broadcast is expected to share a lot of information from in-game footage to detailed system mechanics.

Borderlands 4, which will be released on September 12, 2025, will be released simultaneously on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Fans of the series have already started the countdown. With new characters, customization options and an expanded universe, the game is determined to satisfy action lovers.
