Call of Duty Bans 136,000 Cheaters
Call of Duty continues its fight against cheaters without slowing down. Developer Treyarch announced in a statement that 136,000 cheater accounts have been banned in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The development team stated that cheats seriously negatively affect the player experience and that new security measures have been taken against them. It was emphasized that a strict fight against cheaters will be carried out throughout 2025.
New Security Systems in Call of Duty
Treyarch also introduced new security systems developed against cheaters. Updated detection models specifically target players who use aimbots and other cheat tools. In addition, cheaters can be detected more easily through new data points such as account reliability and hardware IDs.
The new system also takes precautions against false reporting. If a player reports another player multiple times, only one report is taken into account. This prevents cheat developers from creating spam reports with cheat software. As an interesting detail, other accounts that a banned cheater regularly plays with are also examined.
Treyarch also announced that IP-based bans are not used. This method is not preferred because it can affect innocent players connected from the same network. Instead, more focused and precise detection methods are used to target only cheating accounts.
Call of Duty will further strengthen its anti-cheat systems with the upcoming Season 2 update. Treyarch will continue its fight against cheaters with new server and client-side detection systems, as well as driver updates and encryption improvements.
These steps aim to provide a more fair and enjoyable gaming experience for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone players.
