First Images Released from the Street Fighter Set
Actor Andrew Schulz (Dan Hibiki) introduced Callina Liang and Noah Centineo in a video shared on social media. While Liang’s character, Chun-Li, is seen wearing a jacket concealing her costume, the character’s iconic hairstyle is a standout. Centineo, who plays Ken, is seen in full costume with blonde hair and his classic fighting outfit.
While the images don’t reveal much detail, they offer the first hints at the film adaptation of characters fans have been eagerly awaiting. Ken’s classic appearance, in particular, is largely preserved, suggesting the actor has adapted well to the role. Chun-Li’s full costume is expected to be revealed at the film’s official trailer.
The Street Fighter film boasts a large, star-studded cast. Starring Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, the film will introduce fans to a wide range of fighters. The film’s story begins with Ryu and Ken being summoned to the World Fighter Tournament by Chun-Li.
Set in 1993, the film will showcase not only the tournament clashes but also the characters’ confrontations with their pasts. The friendship between Ken and Ryu is said to be crucially tested at the heart of the story. The highly anticipated Street Fighter film will be released on October 16, 2026. The release of Chun-Li and Ken’s full designs along with the trailer seems to further fuel fans’ excitement.
