Civilization 7 Disappoints in Early Access
Civilization 7 has faced unexpectedly negative reviews during its early access phase. Firaxis’ highly anticipated game has been the focus of criticism, especially due to its user interface (UI). The game’s review score on Steam was initially recorded as “Mostly Negative”, but has now risen to “Mixed”.
Players Complain About Civilization 7
The game’s user interface was the most complained about by players participating in the early access phase. Players stated that the interface was complicated, clunky, and lacking fluidity, making it difficult to play the game. Considering that the interface is of key importance in strategy games like Civilization 7, this situation stands out as a serious problem.
While some players shared screenshots of interface issues to highlight the bugs, others claimed that Firaxis released the game without due diligence. Players who paid $70 for early access argue that this price is high for an incomplete experience.
Firaxis responded quickly to player feedback. The company announced on its official website that it took users’ comments into consideration and prepared a comprehensive list of updates to fix the issues. However, it remains unclear whether these fixes will be completed by the game’s official release date of February 11.
Although Civilization 7 has created great excitement among strategy game lovers, these negativities experienced during the early access process have raised questions about the game’s future. Whether Firaxis will be able to fulfill its promises to players is eagerly awaited.
