Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is eagerly awaited by strategy fans. Firaxis Games made a statement for Civilization 7 system requirements. Launching on February 11, 2025, you need to start preparing your systems for this giant strategy game. So, what hardware do you need to play Civilization VII?

    • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1050 / AMD RX 460 / Intel Arc A380
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 20 GB available space

The minimum and recommended system requirements for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII vary depending on which settings you want to play the game on.

For those who want to get 30 FPS performance at 1080p resolution and low settings, 8GB RAM will be enough. You will also need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX 460 or Intel Arc A380 graphics card. As for the processor, Intel Core i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 can be preferred. The game requires 20 GB of free disk space, while the developers recommend using an SSD.

For those who want to play 1080p/60 FPS on medium settings, a more powerful system is required. For these settings, 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 6600 or Intel Arc A750 graphics card are recommended. On the processor side, an Intel i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X is recommended.

If you want to play Civilization VII on high settings at 4K resolution and 60 FPS, you will need at least 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card, and an Intel i7-14700F or AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor.

Firaxis Games has not yet announced whether Civilization VII will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3.0 technologies. It’s well known that DLSS or FSR can be a big boost to performance in strategy games like this. If developers add these technologies, it will provide a smoother experience for players.
