Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Expands with New Content
The new update will add a brand new, fully playable region, transporting players to an uncharted world. This area will feature never-before-seen enemy types and special encounters described as “surprises.” New boss battles will also be included for players looking to tackle the late-game challenges.
Sandfall has confirmed that new costumes will be added for each Expedition member to expand character customization. While the number of costumes and how they will be unlocked hasn’t been specified, these costumes will certainly add visual variety. The game will now support 19 languages, including Turkish—newly added languages include Czech, Thai, Indonesian, Ukrainian, and Latin American Spanish.
The studio hasn’t yet released a specific release date, but it has confirmed that the update will arrive simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. “This update will be a thank you to all the players who have supported us,” said Guillaume Broche, Sandfall Interactive’s creative director.
This impressive 2025 franchise is now expanding its universe even further with free content. It looks like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is well on its way to becoming more than just an RPG, but a truly evolving work of art.
