Co-Op Climbing Game Peak Is Running for a Record
Last week, the co-op climbing game Peak was released and has managed to attract more than enough attention from players. The game, developed by Landcrab, sold one million copies in six days. Now, just three days later, that number has reached two million. The game’s rapid rise has also brought the studio’s update plans to the agenda early.
New Content on the Way for Peak
Landcrab thanked players in a statement on Steam, stating that the update plans are in the early stages. They plan to work on quality improvements, new content, and fun additions based on player feedback. However, it was announced that the priority will be bug fixes and game stability. Therefore, a major content update should not be expected immediately.
The game’s development process is a bit unusual. Because Landcrab was actually a collaboration between two studios, Landfall Games and Aggro Crab. This situation causes some uncertainty about how extensive changes can be made in the update process. The studio balances expectations by saying, “We don’t want to promise features that we can’t deliver.”
On the other hand, work continues to resolve technical issues that players complain about the most, such as connection problems, performance drops, crashing problems and microphone audio errors. Landcrab reminds us that they are a small team, thanks players for their patience and emphasizes that they will continue to fix bugs without slowing down while enjoying the success.
Peak is currently on sale on Steam for £6.39. The game, which stands out especially with its humorous side on social media, has quickly become popular among content creators. The developer studio was previously known for best-selling games such as Content Warning and Totally Accurate Battlegrounds.
