Bandai Namco has officially released the first trailer for the long waited Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on June 21.

Since Elden Ring’s first launch, FromSoftware kept releasing new updates for the game. Elden Ring updates have tweaked quest lines, added new NPCs to interact with, and so on. These updates insured that Elden Ring will keep it’s acitivity through the years but fans were always expecting more. It looks like this happened finally.
Developers released the first reveal trailer for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which will make it’s launch in June 21. Elden Ring fans will look forward to this date.
In the trailer, we saw new enemies and new stunning locations. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will take players to the Land of Shadow, “a place obscured by the Erdtree” that has been “set ablaze by Messmer’s flame.” It’s implied that’s where players will encounter Miquella, the entity that in the egg from Mohgwyn Palace in the base game, but fans will have to play the DLC for themselves to see what happens for sure.
The whirlwind Elden Ring trailer shows players exploring the Land of Shadow on the back of Torrent, their trusty steed from the base game. Along the way, they encounter all matter of monstrosities, some of which will likely serve as Shadow of the Erdtree’s bosses. The names of these enemies have yet to be revealed, but players will fight a giant creature that looks like a walking brazier, a long, snake like creature, a huge lion headed enemy, and more.
It’s possible more details about these new Elden Ring enemies will be revealed in the months leading up to Shadow of the Erdtree’s June 21 release date, but it’s also possible fans will have to wait until they are able to face off against the monsters themselves.
New DLC is adding a lot more than just few enemies. Elden Ring’s arsenal of weapons will be growing with the expansion, and players will have new attacks, armor, and more at their disposal as well. There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding Shadow of the Erdtree. Elden Ring fans will definitely look forward to June 21 to play this big new DLC for Elden Ring.
