Co-Op Mode Coming to Hitman

IO Interactive has announced that a co-op mode is in development for Hitman: World of Assassination. The new feature, which is still in its early stages, means players can now go on assassination missions with a friend. The mode will center around Stone and Knight, who previously appeared in Sniper missions.

With the new co-op mode, players will be able to complete various missions from the Hitman universe side by side with a friend. IO Interactive says that this mode will completely change the way players approach missions and force them to develop different strategies. While no detailed details about the mode have been shared yet, the development team promises “more information soon.”

The success of Hitman: World of Assassination has also come to the fore again with the announcement of the co-op mode. The game has sold 25 million copies to date and has reached a total of 80 million players. These figures include not only the paid versions of the series, but also players who downloaded the free Starter Pack. Hakan Abrak, head of IO Interactive, said that Agent 47’s impact on the world continues and that this success is of great significance as the series approaches its 25th year.

The developments on the Hitman front are not limited to this. Players can now also target the character Le Chiffre from the movie Casino Royale. Moreover, Mads Mikkelsen, who plays this character, has taken the microphone again for his role in the game. On the other hand, IO Interactive also recently introduced the new James Bond game 007: First Light. The trailer points to the story of a young Bond stepping into the spy business.
