Co-Op Music Game MAJJAM Officially Announced

Developed by Paris-based studio Opus Major, MAJJAM is a co-op adventure game that places music at the center of gameplay. The team, comprised of experienced developers with experience at Ubisoft and other game studios, aims to bring together both gamers and music lovers in a shared experience. The PC game is still in its early stages, and players can register for the upcoming testing phase on the official website.

MAJJAM Offers a Colorful Adventure Shaped by Music

MAJJAM is set in a universe where music is not just a background element but the primary energy source that shapes the world. Players use their characters’ melodic and rhythmic abilities to battle enemies, interact with the environment, and solve puzzles. Through musical interactions, the world reacts, transforms, and new areas become discoverable.

The game’s core mechanic, the “Jam” system, allows players to interact with notes without needing musical knowledge. Each character possesses unique instruments and special musical abilities. These abilities can be developed and new powers unlocked as the game progresses. The system encourages players to work together in harmony, paving the way for collaborative creativity.

The dark fog threat, codenamed “mist,” is this world’s greatest enemy. Areas covered in fog can only be cleared with music, opening up new areas for players. By creating music together, players can combat this threat and transform the environment.

Each player can choose from a variety of characters with distinct musical identities. Various gameplay styles are available, including rhythm-driven drummers, wind instruments, and those who bring the world to life with chords. The most impact is achieved when players play in harmony. MAJJAM aims to provide a social, creative, and unique experience by interweaving music with the game world.
