Commandos: Origins Release Delayed to March 2025
“The Commandos series has always been based on tactical precision, offering different approaches to solve multi-faceted missions,” said Jurgen Reusswig, director of Claymore Game Studios, in a press release. Reusswig emphasized that the studio is committed to honoring this legacy, adding, “With valuable feedback from our dedicated community, we are making the final adjustments necessary to deliver the best possible tactical experience for our players.”
Commandos: Origins to Get Optimization, AI, and UI Improvements
According to the announcement, the additional development time will focus on a few key areas:
- Performance optimizations will address frame rate issues, providing a smoother gameplay experience.
- Improved AI will make NPCs more responsive, while updated control schemes will complement the customizable keyboard bindings introduced for PC in the closed beta and demo, making gameplay more intuitive.
- Additional updates to the UI and UX will further enhance the player experience.
- Temporary voiceovers used in the demo and closed beta will be replaced with professionally recorded dialogue in English, German, French, Spanish, and Chinese, adding more authenticity to the World War II atmosphere.
Commandos: Origins will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). It will also be available on Game Pass.
