Could Stellar Blade Have Co-op and Multiplayer?
Stellar Blade, which attracted great attention with its PS5 release, is counting down the days for the PC version, while modders have discovered hidden multiplayer features in the game’s files. The screen splitting in half when a second character appears on the screen reveals that the game may be prepared for local co-op. Although no official statement has been made yet, this development has increased expectations for the PC version.
Multiplayer Details Found in Stellar Blade Files
In the video shared by the fan account Stellar Blade Brasil, it is seen that modder @phantomSomnus has found codes for multiplayer modes in the game’s files. In the video, when a second Eve character is added to the game, the screen is automatically split in two. This situation raises the possibility that the game may actually be pre-configured for local co-op mode.
Modder Somnus also shared a screenshot with the game’s file names. This list includes many files that include the phrase “MultiPlay”. It is not yet known whether these files were left for testing purposes, whether the developer team Shift Up is working on multiplayer mode, or whether they are a sign of an official feature to be added in the future.
The very positive feedback from the trial version released for PC shows the potential of the game to expand its reach. This co-op feature, which is currently only accessible through mods, could form the basis for official multiplayer support. The fact that the second Eve works flawlessly in particular suggests that this feature is not coincidental.
While the excitement for the PC version of Stellar Blade continues, this modification discovery has also increased the curiosity of players. Especially for those who are keen on co-op gameplay, this feature may return with an official update in future versions of the game. Possible statements from Shift Up are being closely monitored.
