Countdown Begins for Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero, which has been in development for a long time, is finally getting a release date. New gameplay footage, along with information about the game’s combat system and style, were shared during the “Deep Dive” session held as part of the Future Games Show. According to the announcement made at the event, the release date for Phantom Blade Zero will be announced before the end of the year, a development that has further fueled player excitement.

Phantom Blade Zero Details

Phantom Blade Zero tells the story of an elite assassin tasked with finding the person who killed the leader of The Order. Blending the mechanics of Soulsborne games with role-playing elements, the game features a complex and deep combat system. First announced in 2023, the game has been highly anticipated ever since.

At the Future Games Show, director Soulframe Liang showcased new gameplay footage from Phantom Blade Zero. Players were introduced to over 30 weapons that can be used in different styles. The game, notable for its fast-paced action sequences, stands out for its fight choreography and atmosphere.

The game was also tested by numerous critics last July. Praised for its wuxia-inspired fighting mechanics and visual quality, the game could spark new excitement in the market, especially following successful Chinese titles like Black Myth: Wukong and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s been confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero will be released before the end of 2025. If it lives up to expectations, it looks set to become one of the most talked-about games of the coming era.
