Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will make players once again dive into a spy thriller set in a new area of Night City. In the story, Songbird promises V they will finally be able to remove the lethal biochip in their head. But for that, there is one condition: save the president of the New United States of America in Dogtown, a lawless district where she’s trapped after her aircraft crashed.

As well as adding new weapons and vehicles to Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty will introduce new and familiar faces. One of them is Solomon Reed, an FIA agent played by Idris Elba who will team up with V on their mission.
Developers confirmed that Phantom Liberty launches on September 25 at 7 PM EDT for PC players, and September 26 at midnight for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players. The information was confirmed by the game’s official Twitter, which posted a map with the release times of the DLC in different regions.
Players wishing to get Phantom Liberty can buy the expansion for $29.99 but with a catch. Phantom Liberty will not be available for last generation consoles due to hardware limitations, the same one that contributed to the game’s troubled launch. In addition to bringing a new expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 will release Update 2.0, with various improvements like redesigned skill trees.
Cyberpunk 2077 has a bad reputation regarding having the most broken launching in the history of AAA games. With the release of Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt Red plans to completely overhaul Cyberpunk 2077, making several improvements and addressing numerous criticisms.
