Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 First Images Arrive
Marvel’s beloved series Daredevil: Born Again continues preparations for its second season, and the first visuals from the series have increased the excitement. With Matt Murdock’s new struggle and Jessica Jones’ surprise return, it is already felt that the series will gain a more ambitious structure. The changes made in front of and behind the camera in the new season are also noteworthy.
Jessica Jones Joins Daredevil
After a long break, Krysten Ritter is returning to the screens as Jessica Jones. The character, who will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time after her series ended on Netflix, will try to provide justice on the dark streets of New York with Daredevil. The set photos shared show that Jessica has maintained her classic air.
The series’ lead, Charlie Cox, shared how unexpected the offer he received from Marvel was in an interview with Variety. Cox said, “I didn’t hear from Marvel for two years. Then one day Kevin Feige called and said, ‘Do you want to continue?’ I was shocked.” The actor added that the tone of some episodes was different due to the different creative team in the first season, but that this will be eliminated in the new season.
In addition to Jessica Jones’ return, the series’ second season cast includes familiar names such as Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk). This time, Dario Scardapane is in the showrunner’s chair. The new season aims to give the street-level hero narrative a stronger place in the MCU. The season is planned to meet the audience on Disney+ in 2025.
