DC’s Mister Miracle Surprise
DC Studios is adding another one to its animated projects. It has been announced that a new animated series focusing on the character Mister Miracle is in development. This production, which is a candidate to expand the DC universe, comes with striking details at first glance.
Mister Miracle Animated Series On The Way
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios made the announcement as part of the Annecy Animation Festival. The Mister Miracle animated series will be adapted from the acclaimed comic book series by Tom King and Mitch Gerads. It has been confirmed that Tom King will be the executive producer and showrunner on the project. The streaming platform has not yet been determined, but the series is expected to be on HBO Max.
The series will bring important characters such as Scott Free (Mister Miracle), Big Barda and Darkseid to the DCU. The inclusion of these characters into the universe with animation indicates that they may have repercussions on live-action projects in the future. It seems likely that the actor who will voice Mister Miracle in the animated version will also portray the character in live-action projects in the future.
It is stated that the animation will have a visual structure in the style of Creature Commandos. DC Studios has been focusing more on animation projects recently. This new era, which started with Creature Commandos, is expanding with productions such as Blue Beetle and Lanterns. Mister Miracle is also preparing to be an important link in this line.
According to the official promotional text of the series, the introduction of universes such as Apocalypse and New Genesis through animation signals that the characters from these worlds will play a bigger role in the DCU. Considering that Tom King also took an active role in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Lanterns projects, it is seen that his influence on the new DC universe is growing. The Mister Miracle series may increase this influence even more.
