Dear me, I was… Announced for Switch 2

Arc System Works has officially introduced Dear me, I was…, a new interactive adventure game for the Switch 2 platform. This emotional story game, which draws attention with its colorful watercolor-style visuals and rotoscope technology, will be released on the Nintendo eShop in the summer.

Dear me, I was… offers players the opportunity to relive a woman’s life. Players will witness emotional moments such as joy, sadness and personal growth in this modest life. The atmosphere offered by the game, combined with the realism of the characters, aims to establish an emotional connection.

The game’s art direction is undertaken by Taisuke Kanasaki, while Maho Taguchi is in the director’s chair. The production is undertaken by Ryohei Endo. Backgrounds prepared with aesthetic watercolor drawings are combined with characters animated with rotoscope technology. This gives the game a unique visual identity.

Arc System Works shared a short promotional trailer and first screenshots with the announcement. The trailer offers strong clues about both the visual and emotional structure of the game, and it has become possible to access more content through the official website.

Dear me, I was… is being developed exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 and will be available for digital sale in the summer of 2025. New details about the game and its release date will be shared in the coming weeks.
