Death Stranding 2’s Open World and Fighting Mechanics

According to Sony’s statement, Death Stranding 2 players will explore an open world full of secrets and rich in variety. These vast areas will be filled with unique challenges and will require players to interact with the environment.

The fighting mechanics are designed quite flexibly. Players will be able to adopt different approaches when facing humanoid enemies or supernatural beings. It is up to the player to choose whether to follow an aggressive strategy during the fight, hide from enemies, or avoid conflict altogether. This flexibility allows players to create their own playstyle.

The story of Death Stranding 2 takes place in a period after the first game and takes Sam Bridges on a new journey. The story, which tells players to “expect the unexpected,” aims to offer an experience full of surprises.

Another striking feature of the game is the “Social Strand” system. This system states that the traces left by players in the game world can affect the experiences of other players. This mechanic allows players to interact with each other indirectly and adds a different social dimension to the game. Hideo Kojima’s team is also working on a Death Stranding movie and a new game described as a risky project. But for now, all eyes are on when Death Stranding 2 will be released and when new details will be announced.
